IntraLase developed a laser system that enabled a "bladeless" LASIK procedure for vision correction.

Results: IntraLase went public and was later acquired by Abbott for $808 million.

Inviragen developed a vaccine to protect against dengue fever, a disease that threatens 2.5 billion people across the globe.

Results: Inviragen was acquired by Takeda for up to $250 million.

NimbleGen is the leading supplier of flexible high-density microarray products, enabling a new era of “High Definition Genomics.”

Results: NimbleGen was acquired by Roche for $270 million.

ThirdWave Molecular Diagnostics is a diagnostics company that created tests for HPV virus, a sexually transmitted infection that can cause cervical cancer.

Results: Third Wave was acquired by Hologic for $580 million.
